Any working individual aged 25 or over will be legally entitled to a minimum wage of £7.20 per hour. This is an increase of 50 pence per hour compared to the current national minimum wage rates. The Government have committed to increase the National Living Wage on an annual basis.
All employers must ensure that they are paying employees at the correct rate from April 2016. If you are unsure as to which of your employees qualify for the new National Living Wage then please contact our payroll department to discuss.
NB: The National Living Wage does not apply to an employee in the first year of an apprenticeship
